Melinda White was chosen as the WINNER of the My Community FCU's loan promotion and her loan was PAID IN FULL. My Community FCU offered its members a chance to have their loan paid off up to $20,000 for anyone that got a new loan between November and December 2011. Melinda also was able to choose a charity in which the credit union would donate $500 and she chose Catholic Charities.

Employees reunite a family and their dog!

The week before Christmas, the Big Spring branch staff noticed a dog wandering around outside, looking lost.  They coaxed him into the branch and gave him a treat.  Jeremy Duran and Tim Jakel noticed the name “Cody” on his tags.  After much detective work, several phone calls and the help of a veterinarian, they found the owners who happened to be out of town for the Christmas holiday.  At the request of the family, Jeremy took Cody to his vet for safe keeping until the family returned.  Once they got back from vacation, the entire family came to the Big Spring branch to thank the staff for rescuing “Cody”, their family pet of seven years!  What a great Christmas gift!
